PROJECT

From 0 to 1, create a comprehensive platform—Multilingual Info Site, Client Portal, Admin CRM—for AEIP (a government-funded immigration service project).

OUTCOME🚀

  • Successfully launched all 3 products within 6 months in 2015. aeipsuccess.ca

  • Significantly streamlined daily tasks for staff and received highly positive feedback from users.

  • Achieved 270% client growth in the 1st year.

  • Successfully secured additional rounds of government funding for future iterations.

About AEIP

AEIP.png

Active Engagement and Integration Project (AEIP) - Funded by the government of Canada, provides free pre-arrival services for newcomers from Asia for their new life in Canada.

The Backstory

With 3 Asia offices to provide in-person services, AEIP was looking to build a comprehensive online platform to digitalize its services and serve more clients remotely.

Their vision: "Build a flexible, functional, easy to manage, easy to upgrade community network and CRM framework that will be beneficial to AEIP clients, client managers and community partners for years to come."

Our team at ECD Design Agency was tasked to build the very first release of this platform from scratch.

Project Scope

3 Products:

  1. Info Site (aeipsuccess.ca)

  2. Client Portal ('My Area')

  3. Admin Portal (CRM & more)

To gain a deeper understanding of the project, I created a flow chart based on findings from user research and requirement gathering.

  1. Multilingual support for 5 languages.

  2. Secure registration and login functionality.

  3. Content organized into multiple categories and subpages.

  4. Content management through WordPress backend by AEIP staff.

  5. Fully responsive, mobile friendly.

  6. Compatibility with IE8+ and all major browsers.

  1. For Client Manager:

    • An easy-to-use CRM to manage applicants & client

    • Live chat with a client

    • Answer client questions via a support ticket system

    • Limited permission to manage workshops, resource library, forum

  2. For Super Admin:

    • Manage workshops, resource library, forum

    • Manage staff & permissions and info site content
